You don’t need another thing on your to-do list. You need a day to just breathe...

So many of us move through our days with our shoulders up around our ears, holding our breath without even noticing. We take care of everyone and everything else, and we keep telling ourselves we’ll slow down when things calm down. But things rarely calm down on their own.

Just Breathe is a retreat from all of that.  A day set aside for you. A day to step out of the rush, settle into your body, and give your nervous system the chance to rest.

Hi there, I'm Ali!

Challenging relationships and life experiences can take a lasting toll on your nervous system, keeping you stuck in survival mode and disconnected from your own sense of peace.

As a Certified Yoga Therapist, I offer a trauma-informed, body-first approach to healing that draws on the science of neuroplasticity, the power of somatic movement, and the wisdom of yoga. These tools help you gently regulate your nervous system, release chronic stress and anxiety, and reconnect with clarity, courage, and self-trust.

I’ve walked this path myself. These tools have changed my life, and I know how powerful they can be in helping you feel safe in your body again and confident in who you are.

This day is about you

This retreat is built on the same foundation as all of my programs: nervous system regulation, breath awareness, and new sensory experiences. It takes what we do together over six weeks and gently condenses it into one day of about six hours.

This one is a little less intensive and a little more self-care. Same principles, softer pace. You won’t be working hard. You’ll be learning how to let your body do what it already knows how to do, which is come back to calm.

What People Are Saying about Breathe Yoga Therapy...

How we’ll spend the day

This is a gentle day. You won’t be pushing yourself or working hard.

Everything is offered as an invitation, never a requirement. You’re always welcome to take a break, change positions, step out, or just rest. You know your body best, and I’ll trust you to listen to it. You’ll also never be asked to share anything you don’t want to. You can share as much or as little as feels right for you.

Throughout the day, we’ll move between time in community and quiet time for your own reflection. You can expect:

  • Gentle somatic movement that meets your body exactly where it is, no experience needed
  • Guided meditation to help you settle and turn inward
  • Breathwork to help you notice and shift how you’re feeling in real time
  • A sound bath, where you can simply lie back, rest, and receive
  • Journaling time to reflect, process, and reconnect to yourself

If you have any questions, or there’s anything that would help you feel more comfortable on the day, like an injury or physical limitation I should know about, please reach out via email. I’m happy to help.
