You are not defined by what you've experienced
Difficult and toxic relationships teach your nervous system to stay on high alert—constantly scanning for danger, bracing for impact, hyper-aware of others' emotions, never fully relaxing.
These survival patterns become wired into your body, showing up as chronic anxiety, tension, people-pleasing, perfectionism and stress that won't seem to let go, even years later.
But what was learned can be unlearned. Your nervous system is capable of creating new patterns. Through personalized yoga therapy, we'll work together to gently shift these old survival responses and build new pathways to calm, safety, and resilience.
You can let go of what you've been carrying and move forward with courage and clarity.

Hi there!
I’m Ali, a yoga therapist and trauma-informed yoga teacher based in Richmond, Virginia. I created this program to help you build resilience and restore a sense of peace through the healing power of yoga, somatic movement, and nervous system education.
These practices are grounded in the science of neuroplasticity—your brain and body’s natural ability to change and heal over time.
I’ve walked this path myself and have used these tools in my own healing journey. I know how life-changing it can be to feel safe and at home in your body again.
Begin your healing journey today and learn simple, effective practices to reduce, manage, and even embrace your anxiety—one breath, one movement, one moment at a time.
Relational Trauma Lives in Your Nervous System
Even after an unhealthy relationship ends, your nervous system holds the pattern. It may show up as:
- Chronic tension, headaches, digestive issues, insomnia, always feeling on edge
- Anxiety, depression, panic, anger, overwhelm, or feeling perpetually stuck
- Walking on eggshells, self-doubt, nightmares, difficulty concentrating, never feeling good enough
- Withdrawing from connection, inability to rest, feeling unseen and unheard
These aren't personality flaws; they're nervous system survival patterns that can be rewritten.
If you're healing from relational trauma, no matter how long ago, this program will help you shift these patterns, reconnect with yourself, and finally feel safe in your own body.
In this Body-Focused Somatic Healing ProgramÂ
- You'll understand what’s happening in your body when you experience trauma, and why it matters.
- You'll learn how to self-regulate and return to a state of balance and ease.
- We'll explore how to set clear, compassionate boundaries and feel empowered to show up as your authentic self.
- You'll identify where you feel stuck and gently uncover what’s holding you back.
- As we move through the layers of healing—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual—you'll begin to reconnect with joy, peace, and purpose.
- Building trust in your own inner wisdom, you'll recognize your inherent worth, and remember that everything you need is already within you.Â
Â
Still not sure? Here are some things to consider.
Recovering from trauma is a self-healing process, so your commitment to yourself and to your practice will be what helps you achieve the goals that you have for this program.
Are you committed to the process of self-discovery and self-empowered healing?
Anxiety and unhealed trauma can leave individuals feeling shame and vulnerability. This program and our community will be a safe place to heal and a source of encouragement, compassion and support.
